Goddaughter Marie falls in love a bewitching nutcracker doll and claims him as her own. Yet when the clock strikes midnight, something terribly amazing happens to Godfather’s handcrafted toys…they come alive. Marie is swept off her feet on an incredible journey with the Nutcracker in this astonishing classic story by E.T.A. Hoffman. Critically acclaimed artist Gail de Marcken’s stunning illustrations bring this spellbinding tale to life.

The Christmas Magic

Project23Far, far North, when the nights are longest and the stars shine brightest, Santa begins to prepare for his big night of giving. He gathers his reindeer, feeds them parsnips and berries, and polishes his bells and his sled. Then lovingly, he chooses toys for every child in the world. For Santa loves them all, and he knows what each child at heart wants most. Then, with the thrum of magic that makes reindeers fly, he spreads the Christmas joy and warmth throughout the world--as he always has -- and always will until the end of time. From best-selling author Lauren Thomas, and Caldecott Honor Artist Jon J Muth

While I was growing up we had a family tradition where each year we would receive a new Christmas book to add to our collection. And each night during the month of December we would read the stories together as a family. I have started this tradition with bug and I am excited to add these 2 wonderful books into our collection this year!

I LUV Christmas books, I collect them and have for years. My son is too old now, but when nephews come over they plunder through them and read them. I have a huge basket full under my tree each year. What a great giveaway you're hosting, thank you. I really hope I win this set of books.

Our favorite tradition is going to pick out our tree when my husband gets home from work. For some reason going at night with the winter air blowing and the fire pits burning makes it so much better.

My favorite holiday tradition for Thanksgiving is our family going to visit grandparents in Ohio (we are in NC). For Christmas I love going to my aunt's house on Christmas Eve then on the way home I always look in the sky for Santa. Then we get up REALLY early on Christmas morning and open gifts at home. I cook breakfast at my house and invite everyone over then my mom has lunch for us all at her house.

We have a small collection of Christmas stories that we read this time of year. Every year we try to add a new one to the collection. It's nice to read that others have the same tradition!

Thanks for the sweet giveaway. We hope to win and add to our Christmas story collection.

    Have a wonderful holiday season!

Our favorite Holiday tradition is following our "Christmas Helper" as we count down the days of Christmas. Each night after the kiddos are in bed, the Christmas Helper (a collectible Santa's Helper Fairy) hides in a new place. In the morning, the munchkins rush downstairs to find his new digs :)

My favorite holiday tradition is going to see the Fantasy in Lights at Callaway Gardens. This will be an extra special year because it will be our first with our daughter there. You ride through in an open air tram, drinking hot chocolate and singing carols along the way. Just perfect.

What a great tradition with Christmas books! I may have to start that one this year. We do pajamas at our house. Each Christmas Eve, we open one gift and it's always a new set of pajamas to sleep in that night. My sister and I did this when we were little until even now (my mom still gets us pajamas) and we have pictures from each Christmas in our new pajamas.

Our tradition started when I was a little girl. We were allowed to open just one gift on Christmas Eve. That gift was always some new PJs to wear that night and for Christmas morning. I carried that tradition on to my children. My adult daughter has now carried it on to my granddaughters. And my young daughters always look forward to it too. 3 generations later we carry on the cuddly/cozy tradition.
