“ It all started in late 2003 over a plate of nachos. We, the two founders, were commiserating together over our corporate jobs when the conversation migrated to our new-found passion…our babies. We both had just entered the new world of fatherhood and were keenly focused on all the “gear” we acquired to care for our children – strollers, car seats, cribs, and of course…the diaper bag. We both were frustrated in our quest to find a diaper bag that inspired us. Neither of us wanted to carry mom’s flowery diaper bag, but our search for something masculine and functional was futile. So, as dads are known to do, we decided to fix the problem and set out to design some dad gear.

And, as we became more experienced fathers, we leveraged our knowledge to design helpful features that would make life easier for other parents out there. Finally, in Spring 2005, DadGear was officially started.”

I was so excited to receive one of the Dad Backpacks from DadGear. It took me awhile to figure out which one to pick because they are

all so great! I ended up choosing a black one with a gray stripe-not too girly right?

I started reading up about the products and think it is so awesome that these are Daddy Diaper bags made by Dads! The thought came to 2 Dads over a big plate of Nachos…such a guy thing by the way.

I love that not only do they sell backpacks of all different colors, patterns etc. BUT they also sell Satchels, Messenger Bags, Courier Bags and more! They also sell Vests and Jackets that are basically wearable Diaper Bags.

The Backpack has TONS of room and I mean tons! It offers 13 easy to access compartments, and handy features like the Diaper Hammock and Quick Access Wipes Case that keep essentials close at hand. The front unzips to reveal the wipes case, it has pockets on the side for bottles, Sippy cups or whatever else! The Dad Backpack has great storage and also has straps to hang off of the stroller AND if that's not enough it’s made for a Dad and gentle and lightweight enough for a Mom! The Backpack also includes a changing pad that can be wiped off easily. DadGear also has lots of fun things for Mom too!
